This short film attempts to express an experience by using image associations. The objects which become the subjects in a loose narrative are symbols of the south and the filmmaker's impression of the southern experience. The birds that seem to a be on a perpetual journey are a metaphor for the struggle of making a home. They are chimney swifts that stay farther as a flock and roost in narrow spaces like silos or chimneys of abandoned houses. The south is a quirky fable ridden place. To an outsider it may seem backwards and illogical. But, if one looks closer, it appears that there is an order to the madness.
