In 1960, Susie Mae McCoy went from the cotton fields of Columbia to becoming the first black female wrestler in South Carolina. She was living a true rags to riches story. In the ring she was known as Sweet Georgia Brown who captured the hearts of wrestling fans around the world. But her fame and stardom quickly transformed into tragedy.
